Why has this generation not experienced a move of God?  I tend to believe that there are many reasons why we have not seen it to this point.  The first reason is that men in this generation love sin more than they love God.  When people give there heart to Christ they will begin to change their behavior and move away from things that held them captive.  It is the love of God that draws men into a deep intimate relationship with Him, but most people in this generation want to pay God lip service and not dedicate their hearts and lives to Him.

We live in a society that is caught up with riches and things.  Men appear to not need God because they appear to be able to get whatever they wish.  Because there is no hunger for God the church remains powerless.  Churches use to pray as a group at least one day a week and as people dedicated themselves to prayer they saw God move His hand.  Now most churches are caught up in the "seeker sensitive movement" and are afraid of offending people.  When did preaching the cross not present a challenge to a generation?  No prayer and no conviction of sin has led this generation into a dangerous position.

If we are going to see God move in this hour we need the body of believers to commit themselves to heartfelt prayer and holy living.  The Bible declares that we must come out from the ways of this world and to be separate.  God is looking for a people who are hunger for Him and His presence.  Are you hunger for Him?  Do you desire to turn your back on this world system and to follow the Savior of mankind with your whole heart?  I challenge the church of this generation to do just that.  For if God is with us, why should we fear?  The victory is ours if we don't lose heart.  Go after God today!

Many churches today in America don't practice the gift of speaking in tongues.  Why is this the case?  The early church in Acts 2 saw it manifest on the first day.  Has God changed?  The Bible declares that God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, thus obviously God must still believe that this practice of speaking in other tongues is a necessary tool for the body of Christ to possess. 

Just what is speaking in tongues?  Speaking in tongues is a gift from the Holy Spirit that allows a believer the ability to pray mysteries of the Spirit into the earth.  It is a Kingdom tool that God wants His people to use to help bring forth the presence of the Lord into the earth.  The tongues one is speaking is a language which is not known by the participant and is not recommended to be spoken out loud during a church service unless there is someone there who can interpret what God is speaking.  Speaking in tongues will build the believer up in the Spirit.  From my own personal time praying this way I have found it has made me much more sensitive to the moving of His presence and allows to hear Him much easier.  This allows me to know what to do in situations where my human  mind is confused.  I believe that speaking in tongues opens the door for the believer to flow into the other gifts including the gifts of wisdom and knowledge, or the power gifts of healing, etc. 

I encourage those of you out there who have not experienced this to seek God out on it.  See what the Bible has to say about it.  Don't listen to every preacher out there.  Get your own understanding on this topic.  I believe that if you will seek God out and ask Him for it He will not disappoint.  You will find greater power to live the victorious Christian life and will be empowered as His witness.  God is not afraid of revealing Himself.  Just ask and you will reserve.

Why does God hate sin?  The main reason God hates its so much is because sin separates us from God.  God is wanting relationship with people.  Since God is holy and pure and sin does not taint His person He can not relate to us and our shortcomings.  That is until He sent His Son Jesus Christ to the cross to die in our place.  As a result of this action, God now understands the way sin tempts us, the way sin holds up captive.  God does not hate His creation.  He loves you and me.  That is why His Son died in our place.  Willingly Jesus Christ went to the cross to die in our place.   This was something He did not have to do, but He loved us so very much He went anyway. 

When one walks in guilt because of their sin it is because the Holy Spirit of God is trying to pinpoint the fact that each one of us needs a Savior.  Won't you trust Him today?  Will you turn your back on your own way of doing things and decide to come and follow the Master?  You don't have to live in the place of bondage to homosexual desire, or gambling, alcohol or drugs.  Jesus came to set you free that you and I may enjoy fellowship with Him.  Just repeat this prayer,  Lord Jesus, I repent of my way of doing things.  I turn from my sin and I come unto you.  Lord forgive me and wash me in the precious blood of the Lamb of God.  I want to follow after you and I commit myself unto you this day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

If you have accepted Christ this day the first thing you need to do is tell someone about your conversion.  This will help make your decision stick.  The next things you need to do is find a Bible believing church where you can grow and become all that God intends for you to be.  Reading your Bible and praying to God are important to.  Start reading the gospel of John in the New Testament of the Bible.  It will give you a good understanding of who are Lord and Saviour is.  Praying is nothing more than talking and than listening to God.  It does not have to be long, just be sincere.  If you need further instruction please respond to this particular post and I will guide to the best of my abilities.  Remember you are now a part of the kingdom of God and the angels of the Lord are rejoicing around God's throne because of the decision you have just made.  You are not alone, God is now with you and together with Him, you can't fail.

In this hour we are seeing God move in judgment throughout the world.  I believe that the financial crisis we have experienced is a part of the judgment that God is bringing on the earth.  He is moving in such a way as to bring the church out of lazy faith into a place where we must exercise our faith and begin to inherit the Kingdom of God.  Judgment is not bad.  Judgment from the Lord shows that He cares. 

The Bible declares that judgment must begin with the house of God first.  Why is that the case?  Because God cares for His children first and foremost and wants us to be so like Himself that others will notice the difference and want what we have.  But if the church is so worldly minded than what do we have to offer those who don't know HIM? That is why we are seeing things change so rapidly in this hour.  God is wanting to bring a move of prayer and worship to the church that has never been seen before.  The church of Jesus Christ in this hour must have a passion for God like we never have had.  No more can we play games with HIM.  It is time to put on our game face and truly pursue HIS presence! 

The fire of God has come to purify those who are HIS and to burn up that which doesn't belong.  It is the same fire for both, the glory of God will either make you better or it will torment.  Don't wait any longer.  Turn toward God today.  He is waiting.  But the hour is short. 

Is there a difference between praising God and worshiping Him?  I believe that there is a difference.  I was reading in the Bible in the book of Hebrews and as I was reading the following passage I began to see a difference.  Let us examine this together.  In Hebrews chapter nine the Bible states in verses one thru four;" Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.  For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.  And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of covenant" 

The writer of Hebrews make a distinction between the two covenants in this passage.  The first covenant has items that are primarily made of up of wood.  The second covenant had items made up of gold.  When we begin to praise God we are entering into the first covenant, but when we begin to worship God we are entering into a place where we are vulnerable.  People can praise God and not be touched by His presence in a personal way.  But when a person begins to enter into that place of worship, where they open themselves up to His personal gaze and communication with the Creator of all things, then they come into a place where true change can occur.  Worship is relationship, praise is recognizing and honoring God for who He is.  Both are necessary and needed for praise usually leads one into worship.  Praise comes out of our natural man, worship comes from the spirit of a man.  My prayer is that the Church of Jesus Christ will move from the place of praise into the place of worship.  For when we do God will meet us in ways we can only dream about.

What does God mean when we enter into His rest?  Today's world has most of us running from place to place feeling like we have to be either Superman or Wonder Woman to keep up with the Jones, what does God want or expect from His people.  Why did He tell us to keep the Sabbath day?  Did God ever rest?  

If we go back to the creation of the world we will find that God worked for six days and than took the seventh day off.  This should be a clue that even the creator was setting an example for us to follow.  Jesus Christ himself got tired and need to find time of solitude and rest.  If the godhead took time off to rest and reflect how much more so should we?  I tend to believe that God believes in balance.  I have noticed in my own life when I get extremely tired it is more difficult to complete a task than when I have been able to refresh myself.  God is wanting His people to trust HIM.  Trusting God means entering into a place where we allow HIM to have control over our lives and we do not allow fear and worry to dominate our thinking.  I know where fear and worry and stress come into play we are than walking in the arm of the flesh.  When we are walking in the flesh of our own strength than we are subject to temptation at a greater level than when we are walking in a place of rest and assurance.

Church it is time for us to enter into God's rest.  It is time for us to depend upon HIM for our every need.  Don't take on more than what you are physically able to do.  Find that time to get alone with the Lord and to seek HIS face and He will guide and direct your path as you do.  As you walk in faith in this area you will find that your strength is renewed and your hope will be lifted up.  Slow down Church.  Enter into the rest of the Lord.

With all that is going on in the world I do believe we are near the end of the age.  What is scary is that most people in the Church of Jesus Christ may not realize it.  With the Muslim extremists looking to bring their messiah onto the stage through the use of jihad I believe the stage could be set for the return of the true Messiah, Jesus Christ.  Most people do not understand how the Muslim world may be leading us into the return of Christ because they do not understand just how serious they are about destroying this nation and Israel.  If Iran should get a nuclear weapon this could move the time table up much quicker. 

With storms like Katrina, and the collapse of Wall Street we are seeing the judgment of God coming onto the earth as the world cries out for the manifestation of the children of the King.  What should our response be?  I encourage any and all who are reading this to turn your heart toward Christ.  Surrender your life to Him.  He is wanting you to come unto Him and His kingdom.  Turn from sin Church.  Open your eyes and look toward the heavens.  He is coming and the time is short.

I believe that God is judging America and the American church in this hour.  When most people think of judgment they see it as being something that is not good.  However I believe that it is a good sign that God is judging us.  For those that God judges are the ones he is trying to discipline.  If God did not care about us He would just let us be and we would destroy ourselves. 

Remember in the book of Jonah how God wanted to send judgment to Nivehah.  The people of that city repented and God spared the judgment.  I believe we are in the same place they were.  If we repent and turn from our wickedness then God will hear us and heal this land.  

Why would God want to judge the church first?  Because we are suppose to be salt and light in this world.  We are His representatives.  We are the voice of God in the earth and if we are not living the way He would like us to, than what hope has the rest of the world?  We must be willing to submit ourselves to His ways in this hour.  The time is short before His return.  What must the church be doing in this hour as we come His correction?  I believe that we must begin to reverence Him.  God's people have gotten to comfortable with Him.  We don't fear Him like we should.  We show a lack of respect for Him. 

Why are we not seeing the manifested glory of God in our services?  Because we are not giving God the honor that is due.  We are treating God as if we are going to the supermarket to buy a few items and we come into His house of worship with a ho hum attitude.
There is no expectation of His presence.  We are willing to get hyped over a meaningless ball game than we are with the one who created all things. 

This is why judgment is coming.  God is wanting to get His house in order.  It is time to humble ourselves and to turn and begin to reverence and honor Him with all of our soul, mind and strength.  Lay down those things church which are so easily pulling you away from Him and watch as bring HIm the honor He is due and we will see change not only in our own lives but are churches and nation will change as well.  Give God honor!
